Hyderabad, June 21, 2025 – Marking the spirit of health and cultural heritage, Hyderabad Runners Society, in association with Telangana Tourism, organized a special International Yoga Day celebration at the historic Taramati Baradari alongwith Hyderabad Runners.
The event brought together over 150 participants, who came together in the early hours to practice yoga in the serene and heritage-rich surroundings.
The event was inaugurated by Ms.Kranthi Valluru, IAS, Managing Director, Telangana Tourism Department, along with Mr. Arun Kaliappan, President Hyderabad Runners Society.
Ms.Kranthi, IAS, a certified yoga instructor highlighted the importance of integrating yoga into daily life and commended the unique choice of venue that blended fitness with history.
Adding to the cultural flavour, Telangana Tourism also showcased traditional cultural stalls, providing attendees with a glimpse into the local art, crafts, and cuisine.
These stalls were also inaugurated by Ms.Kranthi.
Following the yoga session, the event seamlessly transitioned into the NMDC Hyderabad Heritage Run Expo, where registered participants collected their runner kits for the upcoming heritage run on 22nd June at Taramati Baradari.
The expo created an atmosphere of excitement and community engagement, drawing in fitness enthusiasts and local visitors alike.
This initiative underscores the continued efforts of Hyderabad Runners Society to promote fitness, wellness, and cultural pride across Telangana.
