Bangur Concrete Commissions India’s First Solar-Powered Ready-Mix Concrete Plant in Jaipur
India, 24th October, 2025: Bangur Concrete, part of the ‘Bangur’ Master Brand of Shree Cement Ltd., has commissioned India’s first solar-powered Ready-Mix Concrete (RMC) plant in Jaipur, Rajasthan, marking a significant step towards sustainable construction.
With the installation of solar net metering on October 17, 2025, the plant now runs primarily on clean, renewable solar energy, reducing its carbon footprint and setting a new standard for eco-friendly construction in India. This achievement reflects Shree Cement’s commitment to sustainability, as the company integrates renewable energy solutions and low-carbon innovations across its operations.
The solar-powered RMC plant showcases Bangur Concrete’s commitment to integrating environmental responsibility with high-quality construction. It also supports Shree Cement’s broader sustainability goals, including the adoption of renewable energy, energy efficiency and circular economy practices.
