Faridabad, Bhopani, June 22: In a heartfelt appeal to the society, Satyug Darshan Trust (Regd.), based in Bhopani, Faridabad, has announced the launch of a month-long global humanitarian campaign, scheduled to run from July 1 to July 31. The initiative seeks to inspire individuals to provide food, clothing, and some financial assistance to the truly needy within their communities.
Speaking on the vision behind this noble initiative, a spokesperson from the Trust stated: “In today’s fast-paced, competitive world, our thoughts have become limited to ourselves—‘me and mine.’ This mindset, rooted in greed and desire, lies at the heart of much of society’s suffering. We have drifted from the ideal of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam—‘The world is one family’—and in doing so, have turned a blind eye to those silently struggling to meet basic nesseccities of life around us.”
The Trust has appealed to all members of the Mahabir Satsang Sabha—across India and internationally—as well as the general public, to adopt selfless service as a way of life. It encourages individuals to dedicate at least one month’s income toward this cause by identifying and directly supporting those in need—particularly those who are hungry, inadequately clothed, or lacking necessities.
The spokesperson emphasized the transformative power of altruism, stating that the inner joy derived from sharing our surplus far surpasses the fleeting satisfaction of material possessions.
“Acts of kindness not only serve the needy,” the spokesperson added, “but also help reduce our attachment to material wealth while nurturing human virtues such as patience, contentment, truthfulness, sacrifice, and benevolence.”
It was also highlighted that our Indian scriptures and Vedic teachings, have long upheld the principle of giving—particularly the age-old guidance of contributing at least one-tenth of one’s yearly earnings to help the less fortunate. Rather than accumulating unnecessary goods, the public is encouraged to donate essential items to those in urgent need.
According to the Trust spokesperson, even small acts of giving can spark a lifelong spirit of generosity. These are not merely charitable deeds, but vital steps toward restoring social harmony and building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
All are welcome to join this initiative and help revive the spirit of humanity—not just through words, but through meaningful action. The Trust urges, “Give back to society what truly belongs to it. Help the helpless, serve with a smile, and awaken others to do the same.” By doing so become pride of humanity and symbol of Satyugian values.
