Mumbai, Dec 23: Hijackk, a mobile cultural space built on a double-decker bus that has been used since 2011 as a mobile cultural and social space across cities, was deployed at Sunburn Festival 2025 in Mumbai to support influencer movement and on-site content activity during the three-day festival.

Designed as an alternative to fixed cafés and conventional venues, the Hijackk bus has been used over the years for community gatherings, private functions, and city-based collaborations. Its mobile format allows it to move between locations and adapt to different urban contexts.
At Sunburn Festival Mumbai 2025, held from 19 to 21 December at Infinity Bay, Sewri, the Hijackk bus was used in coordination with Tuborg, which was an official sponsor of the event. Access to the bus was extended to invited influencers and contest winners associated with the brand.
Across all three days of the festival, the Hijackk bus was used to pick up selected influencers from a designated location in Mumbai and transport them to the Sunburn venue. After daily festival activities, the same influencers were dropped back. During festival hours, the bus remained stationed in the festival parking area from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm, operating as an on-ground space for invited participants.
While stationed at the venue, a DJ setup operated on the upper deck of the bus. Influencers used the interiors as a space to pause between performances, interact with one another, and create festival-linked digital content, including reels and short-form videos.
The Hijackk bus functioned as part of the festival’s influencer operations, supporting movement, waiting time, and content creation within the broader Sunburn ecosystem.
Commenting on the deployment, Hardik, Founder of Hijackk, said,
“At festivals like Sunburn, a lot of time goes into movement and coordination. The bus was used simply as a space that allowed people to manage that time better and stay connected to the festival without being in the crowd all the time.”
The use of the Hijackk bus at Sunburn Mumbai 2025 reflects how influencer engagement at large music festivals is being structured through dedicated on-ground systems that operate alongside audience-facing programming.
