Himachal Pradesh, 13 June 2025: Ambuja Cements, the cement and building material company of the diversified Adani Portfolio, is nurturing grassroots sports talent through structured support to Ambuja ITI Darlaghat. This initiative, led by the company’s CSR team, enabled trainees to actively participate in the District Level Boys’ Sports Meet in Solan, providing access to mentoring, training infrastructure, and logistical assistance. The support culminated in a proud achievement — five students from the institute were selected to represent District Solan at the upcoming state-level tournament, marking a first in the ITI’s history.
The four-day meet, held at Government ITI Solan, brought together 16 government and private ITIs from across the district. Ambuja ITI trainees showcased remarkable talent and discipline across multiple sports categories including athletics, volleyball, badminton, and kho-kho. Among the standout performers was Mohit, who secured first place in the 400-meter race and second place in both the 800-meter and 1500-meter events. The volleyball team of Ambuja ITI won the district-level final, and five of the players have been selected for the state-level tournament.
Ambuja Cements’ CSR philosophy goes beyond skill-building and academics — it champions holistic development by integrating physical well-being, confidence-building, and community engagement. By investing in sports, the company is creating avenues for rural youth to unlock their full potential and aspire to opportunities at larger platforms.
This achievement underscores Ambuja Cements’ belief in the power of youth and its continued commitment to empowering communities through meaningful, sustained action.
