Under the banner of JJ Sports, Murshidabad’s dual franchises are co-owned by Pratiik Jalan (Jalan Builders) and Yash Jain (Pritam Electricals). The Murshidabad Kings, reigning men’s champions, are back to defend their title, while the Kueens, proud runners-up
in the women’s league, are eyeing the trophy with determination and grit.
“This is more than just cricket—it’s about building a legacy for Murshidabad,” said Pratiik Jalan, Co-owner and Director of Jalan Builders. “Our players embody resilience, teamwork, and excellence. We are proud of what we have built, and even more excited about what lies ahead.”
Led by coaches Sourav Sarkar and Probal Dutta, both teams are set to continue inspiring fans with behind-the-scenes content, community outreach, match-day entertainment, and authentic player stories. Bold new jerseys, strategic preparation, and passionate support set the tone for a thrilling season.
“With the Kings and Kueens, we’re creating a platform where youth, leadership, and community pride take center stage,” said Yash Jain, Co-owner and Director of Pritam Electricals. “We want every young fan to believe that their dreams are valid—that talent, no
matter where it comes from, deserves the spotlight.”
Team captains have echoed this vision:
Sudip Gharami, Captain of the Kings: “We’re stepping onto the field with unity, confidence, and purpose. It’s about more than just wins—it’s about inspiring the next generation.”
Prativa, Captain of the Kueens: “We’re not just playing for ourselves—we’re breaking barriers and proving that with grit and dedication, we can lead from the front.
The Road Ahead
The Murshidabad Kings and Kueens are past a tough week behind them, with some close-call matches, as they march on their way towards the Semi-finals of the league, second consecutive year. Joy emphasized on the importance for each athlete to pick themselves up after a loss or win, and focus their energy towards the next match. He drew insights from his time with the Kolkata Knight Riders, and inspired the players with examples of the biggest cricketing icons of the country
