Kolkata, 18th December, 2025: Joint & Brain Care Hospital, one of the leading healthcare groups in Kolkata, today organized an awareness walk session with the patients who overcame the challenge of total knee and hip dysfunction to showcase the strength of willpower and physical capabilities despite deformity. Dr Joydeep Banerjee Choudhury, Director, Joint & Brain Care Hospital along with the eminent footballers, Goutam Sarkar, Ranjit Mukherjee and Samaresh Chowdhury joined the walkathon to raise knowledge for essential bodily fitness, care and the benefits to opt for immediate medical attention as well as cure so that one refrain from a prolonged damage.
This unique initiative by Joint & Brain Care Hospital witnessed the enthusiastic participation of near about 80 senior citizens who have suffered from severe bone and joint damage and under progressive orthopedic care, treatment and with their own resilience they have recovered.
“The Walkathon received an overwhelming response from the patients who refused to surrender to any kinds of deformity and courageously choose to fight against all the odds to conquer over such difficult state. It is a testament to all those brave individuals who decided to walk so that they can spread the message of consciousness towards physical health and the miracles of today’s ahead of times medical science. Most of the patients who were an integral part of this awareness walk have underwent total replacement of their hips and joints and are now leading a healthy life. Today’s Joint and Bone replacement surgeries are boon in disguise as they are well equipped by excellent surgeons and highly advanced technologies. The success of this awareness walk aims to promote more knowledge towards a safe lifestyle and the usefulness of immediate doctor’s care for a stronger bone health which contributes hugely towards the overall well-being of a human body,” said Joydeep Banerjee Choudhury, Director, Joint & Brain Care Hospital.
The walk was followed by an enriched interactive session on ‘Bone And Joint Care; Recent Trends And The Roads Ahead’. The talk session was graced by the significant Orthopedic Dr Joydeep Banerjee Choudhury. He well highlighted the very recent innovations which took place in the industry of bone and joint care, the ongoing research, the bone and joint related damages and troubles which every generation is encountering and what are the immediate and essential remedies related to it.
During the session he scientifically elaborated the myths associated with the bone and joint injuries, imperative need of surgeries, the right time to opt for it and the crucial roles the surgery plays in increasing the lifeline of the people.
