Mumbai, 19th June 2024: Amazon miniTV, Amazon’s free video streaming service, recently released the bromance dramedy Namacool. The series chronicles the adventures of two inseparable friends, Mayank and Piyush, as they embark on a quest to discover the true essence of manhood. Throughout their experience in the second year of college, they navigate through a whirlwind of unpredictability, comedy, and tension as they cross paths with new faces, foes, and romantic prospects. Since its release, the series has garnered widespread acclaim across the nation. Namacool features a talented cast, including Abhinav Sharma, Aaron Koul, Hina Khan, Abhishek Bajaj, Anushka Kaushik, Faisal Malik, and Aadil Khan in pivotal roles.
Abhinav Sharma, who plays Mayank in the series, shared fun moments from his college days. He said, “In college, I faced several situations similar to those depicted in Namacool, but my main focus was on theatre, so most of my experiences were with my theatre group friends. I formed lasting friendships with individuals who have stood by my side over the years. This is one of the remarkable aspects of theatre – it fosters a sense of community and allows you to connect with others on a profound level. It’s always a pleasant experience to reminisce about the past when I reunite with a college friend after a long time.”
Abhinav also got candid about his post-shoot BTS moments, sharing, “It was kind of relieving in a good way! After wrapping up the shoot, we were all excited to see it on the screen. Despite the cold weather, when we finished the shoot, we somehow managed to get a cake and celebrate with the team.”
