Bangalore, March 25, 2023: St. George’s University’s (SGU) School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, has announced that it is accepting applications for its August 2023 intake. Prospective medical students from India can still apply ahead of the next academic year.

Being the largest source of physicians licensed in the US, according to FSMB physician licensure data, 2021—– SGU remains committed to addressing the global shortage of physicians by offering an international education and several clinical training opportunities in the US and UK. With a global shortfall of 10 million healthcare workers predicted for 2030 by the World Health Organization, providing relevant education and training to aspirant medical students is paramount.

Admitted students looking to start their academic careers on the True Blue campus in Grenada can choose from three intakes per year – January, April, August or September – with unique advantages for applicants of each cohort. Those accepted for August benefit from alignment with the global academic year and will be fully immersed in the medical school program following the completion of final exams. In addition, SGU has collaborated with Northumbria University (NU) in Newcastle and Ramaiah Group of Institutions in Bangalore to provide students with the opportunity to start their journey to becoming a doctor in the UK or in India and start in September.
