
Celebrating with balloons to mark the celebration of Hon’ble Chancellor, Dr Aseem Chauhan’s birthday anniversary
Gurugram| September 30, 2025: Amity University Haryana (AUH) concluded its Innovation Week 2025 (22–26 September) with a grand celebration on Innovation Day, coinciding with the birthday of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan. The occasion also marked 15 years of AUH’s leadership in research and innovation, celebrated under the theme “Celebrating Innovation and Creativity.”

Delivering the keynote, Dr. Anita Gupta, Adviser & Head, Climate, Energy and Sustainable Technology (CEST), Ministry of Science & Technology, highlighted India’s innovation journey—from the launch of the Kavach program during COVID-19 to the recent unveiling of the indigenous VIKRAM chip. She emphasized the role of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) in fostering industry-driven R&D and underlined the need for responsible innovation to strengthen India’s global competitiveness.
Prof. (Dr.) P.B. Sharma, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, applauded AUH’s transformation into a hub of impactful R&D and industry-academia collaboration. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to nurturing creativity, signing landmark MoUs with Signature Global and Samsung, and celebrating the recognition of eight AUH scientists among the world’s top 2% by Stanford University.
Dr. Vikas Madhukar, Pro Vice Chancellor, described Innovation Day as a reflection of Amity’s ethos, inspiring faculty and students to pursue research and innovation with passion and purpose. He shared that 97 activities were organized during Innovation Week 2025, showcasing AUH’s scale and commitment to innovation-driven education.

Cultural performances by AUH students on ‘Innovation Day’, 2025
A hand-painted portrait of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Aseem Chauhan, created over seven months by the Amity School of Fine Arts, was unveiled as a tribute. The event ended with vibrant cultural performances and a symbolic balloon release marking aspirations for the future.
