Aiming for interdisciplinary academic excellence, Mahindra University launches MBA Programme
New Delhi/Hyderabad, February 3, 2023 – With the aim of achieving interdisciplinary academic excellence, Mahindra University, a multi-disciplinary university focused on generating new knowledge through cutting-edge research, innovation, and entrepreneurship has announced the launch of its two-year full-time MBA programme.
The MBA programme’s curriculum will offer three specializations – Business Analytics, Digital Business, and Finance. It aims to admit high-caliber students and the selection will consider a mix of strong academic performance, good scores in standardized admissions tests like GMAT, CAT, or GRE, and extra-curricular achievements. All these criteria will be evaluated through the written application and the interview.
The programme will be taught by faculty with excellent pedigree, in keeping with the profile of its students. The programme includes an international immersion to equip students with an international perspective, both managerial and cultural. The immersion will include visits to businesses, presentations by guest speakers, exposure to the local culture, etc.
Announcing the launch of this program, Dr. Yajulu Medury, Vice Chancellor, of Mahindra University said ‘’With companies increasingly offering more flexibility, the gap between higher education and corporate India is widening. Colleges are under pressure to ensure that students don’t just graduate with a degree, but with a pathway to sustainable employment that secures a reasonable standard of living. A transformational approach that enables institutions to operate more flexibly and resiliently in the long term can help institutions emerge on a stronger footing from today’s challenges and brace for those of the future. Such a transformation requires an intense, operations-wide program focused on improving student outcomes and boosting organizational health and performance.’’
Dr. Ramakrishna Velamuri, Professor & Dean, of the School of Management said ‘’We are excited to announce that our MBA programme has begun. The MBA programme has been developed by taking into consideration the changes in both the national and international business ecosystems that have stoked students’ interest in blending a strong business foundation with skills that enable them to operate in an increasingly digitalized world. The curriculum seeks to assist students in absorbing and comprehending management techniques as well as in developing the critical thinking skills necessary for management success. The programme seeks to make students “Industry Ready” so that they may jump right into managerial and entrepreneurial jobs in their chosen fields. Our programmes combine theoretical knowledge with guidance on how to apply the knowledge in the real world.”
