29-03-23: 12-year-old Luvya Shah from Orchids The International School, Borivali, recently took the plunge into entrepreneurship with his startup ‘Edito’. Through Edito, Luvya aims to collaborate with several companies and government organizations to provide cost-saving logos and card designs within three years.

Luvya’s journey as an entrepreneur began as he took inspiration from the startup ecosystem in India. He came upon the idea of forming his startup through one personal experience. “I was looking at some card designs and logos of some companies. When it comes to these cards, logos, or leaflets, most of them use hard copies of them to share with others. However, in the age of the digital era, it becomes inconvenient to share it through social media. That’s when I thought about forming my startup,” Luvya says. With the help of his family and friends, he launched his startup in January 2022. The company’s mission is to create unique cards, logos, and leaflets for companies, individuals, and governments using AI technology.

Luvya currently utilizes Canva and Pixlr for creating the designs. With these tools, he has helped create logos, invitation cards, and leaflets that customers can easily share via social media apps. The company creates these logos at reasonable prices, depending on the number of features the card or logo would hold.

He recently helped create logos for Krishna Enterprise and HectTrak, which is another student-run startup. Luvya entirely owns Edito, but he says, “My parents guide me in terms of the work and next steps for the startup growth. When it comes to the market, there is a huge potential for growth as several new companies are starting up in India. Individuals, as well as government organizations, are also looking to create unique designs and logos. The wedding card market itself is worth INR 8000 – 10,000 crores. With most looking at e-invites and e-logos, my parents are also helping me navigate this market and showcase my talents.”

Adding on to this, Anagha Prabhu, Principal, Orchids The International School – Borivali, “At our school, we are nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit of students by encouraging them to take up different initiatives. Given the growth of the Indian startup ecosystem, there has been a growing demand among children and parents to help them learn about this system. Luvya is one such bright student who has taken a keen interest in this direction. His talent, as well as his courage to startup, are admirable and inspirational to his friends and classmates. I am confident that he will continue innovating and nurturing his talent in the future as well.”
