Faridabad, June 09th, 2025: On the occasion of World Brain Tumour Day, Marengo Asia Hospitals, Faridabad, successfully organized a dedicated Neuro Health Camp and Awareness Talk, in their hospital premises. The event drew enthusiastic participation from the community and was led by Dr. Tarun Sharma, Program Clinical Director – Neurosurgery.
The main aim of this initiative was designed to spread awareness, promote early detection, and empower individuals with knowledge about brain tumours and neurological health.
The event began with a highly informative awareness talk by Dr. Tarun Sharma, who shared insights on the early signs and symptoms of brain tumours, including persistent headaches, unexplained seizures, changes in vision or speech, and memory disturbances. He elaborated on the importance of not ignoring subtle neurological symptoms, as timely diagnosis plays a critical role in treatment outcomes.
During the awareness talk, Dr. Tarun Sharma, Program Clinical Director – Neurosurgery, Marengo Asia Hospitals Faridabad said “Brain tumours, though often feared, can be managed well when detected early. Through events like these, we aim to educate the community about warning signs and available treatment options, while also breaking the stigma and fear surrounding neurological conditions. Our goal is to empower individuals to seek help without delay and support them throughout their journey.”
A free Neuro Health Check Camp was also conducted alongside the awareness session. This included neurological assessments, personalized counselling, early screening, and follow-up guidance for individuals showing signs of neurological concerns. Participants received one-on-one consultations with experts, helping them understand their symptoms, risk factors, and necessary next steps.
The camp served as a platform not just for health checks, but for meaningful interaction. An interactive Q&A session followed the awareness talk, allowing attendees to directly engage with Dr. Sharma and ask questions related to symptoms, diagnosis, surgical options, rehabilitation, and lifestyle changes. The session helped demystify complex neurological topics in a patient-friendly manner.
During the event, several patients who had previously been treated for various neurological conditions shared their personal journeys, highlighting how timely diagnosis and appropriate medical intervention had significantly improved their quality of life. Their stories served as powerful testimonies to the importance of early detection and expert care in managing neurological disorders. The session proved to be deeply motivating, inspiring attendees to prioritize their neurological health and seek timely medical support without fear or hesitation.
Marengo Asia Hospitals, Faridabad, reaffirmed its commitment to community health through this initiative, highlighting the importance of brain health awareness, especially in a time where neurological disorders are on the rise but still under-discussed. The hospital plans to continue such outreach programs regularly, emphasizing the need for preventive care, timely diagnosis, and patient education as pillars of modern healthcare.
