Speaking about the ReTech Awards 2020, Bijou Kurien – Chairman, Retailers Association of India (RAI) said, “Technology has become the cornerstone of any retail business today. Retail tech start-ups are driving changes in consumer buying behaviour and enabling seamless, frictionless purchase processes. The Retail Start-up Awards recognise those ventures which are at the forefront of driving the adoption of retail technologies, and creating innovative purchase and business models.”

The three winners of the 6th edition of the ReTech Awards 2020 are:

Winner: DotPe Pvt. Ltd.

DotPe provides a complete ecosystem of business tools to help every type of business to start, manage and scale their businesses. With a smart POS system, an easy-to-use ecommerce website maker, integrated payments and delivery solutions and simple marketing & CRM tools, DotPe empowers all business owners like a neighbourhood electronics shop to branded stores in malls and global and national brands across all states of India.

1st Runner up: Emertech Innovations Pvt. Ltd.

EmerTech has a mission to build solutions through breakthrough technologies which will positively impact human lives. With the use of blockchain, it is helping farmers and food organisations with end-to-end traceability and transparency of farmer produce.

2nd Runner Up: Tesseract Learning Pvt. Ltd.

Tesseract Learning is a one-stop shop to meet all digital learning needs of an enterprise. Its KREDO Learning Platform is among the top 20 global learning platforms and is built to help quickly onboard new inductees at the front-end.

From the applications received this year, 11 retail technology startups were shortlisted by the preliminary jury. The shortlisted applicants then presented on the sidelines of the ReTechCon 2022 to the grand jury that comprised retail leadership having expansive experience in handling strategic functions, namely Bhupesh Dinger, Director, Enrich; Thiyagu Palanisamy, Head – Technology, Thoughtworks; and Rajiv Nair, Group CEO, Kaya Ltd.
