Shangri-La Eros Hosts Authentic Pathare Prabhu Feast in Partnership with Chef Pin
New Delhi, 08th May 2025: Shangri-La Eros New Delhi, in collaboration with Chef Pin, presents an extraordinary Mother’s Day celebration at Tamra from 9 May to 11 May 2025. The event features a special mother-daughter duo—Chef Bimba Nayak and Gauri Nayak—bringing to life the rare Pathare Prabhu cuisine. This distinctive dining experience is a tribute to motherhood, celebrating exceptional food heritage with a creative and heartfelt touch.
Set within the charm of Tamra, where refined interiors blend with globally inspired culinary theatre, this Mother’s Day celebration elevates the “World on Your Plate” experience into a curated assortment from one of India’s most cherished and historic cuisines.
Chef Bimba Nayak brings decades of expertise in Pathare Prabhu cuisine, having begun teaching these traditional methods in the 1970s. Following extensive research and travel, she established Cooking Concepts in 2006, creating a platform to introduce these distinctive flavor profiles to appreciative audiences. Unique spices and techniques characterise her mastery and have earned her recognition at top venues across India.
Complementing this is Gauri Nayak’s 15 years of artistry in desserts. Having perfected her foundational techniques under both Chef Bimba and her husband, Chef Hiren Nayak, Gauri brings exceptional skill in sugar dough modeling, crafting intricate floral works, and implementing advanced airbrushing techniques.
Together, this duo creates a dining experience that celebrates motherhood through an interplay of flavor and variety.
The menu is designed to satisfy every palate, featuring signature dishes such as Konfal Pattice, Kobi che Muthe, and the exquisitely spiced Kheema Muthe. Seafood lovers can savour Bombil Salad, Prawns Khadkhadle, and the fragrant Prawns Khichdi, while meat enthusiasts will relish robust preparations like Mutton Sukhe, Black Pepper Chicken, and comforting Mutton Gode. Vegetarian offerings include soulful classics like Thalipith, Vangi Panchamrutachi, and Tomato Batata Rassa. A live Tawa counter showcases traditional Gurda, Kapoora, Liver, and Kheema, staying true to the community’s age-old cooking techniques. For mothers, the exclusive Queen’s Corner serves thoughtfully curated dishes in celebration of their special day.
The “Sweet Treats for Sweethearts” dessert bar tempts with traditional delights such as Ukadiche Modak and Dudh Poha. These are beautifully complemented by Indian and international gourmet confections that provide a wholesome ending to the meal.
The exclusive experience is available for lunch at INR 3200 plus taxes per person and dinner at INR 3500 plus taxes per person, offering such rare delicacies rarely found outside Pathare Prabhu homes.
Rooted in legacy and layered with nuance, this extravaganza at Shangri-La Eros New Delhi is a tribute to one of India’s most treasured regional cuisines.
