Intimate biographies of some of the world’s most fascinating people, told through the songs that made them who they are.
SYNOPSIS
What songs tell your life story?
Life in Seven Songs, a new podcast launching June 18th by The San Francisco Standard (the Bay Area’s fastest growing news company), asks this question of some of the world’s most fascinating people.
In bi-weekly episodes, host Sophie Bearman engages culture’s trailblazers in intimate discussions about their life journeys. Through seven songs, guests lay bare the milestones—and the music—that have made them who they are today.
Featured guests include:
- Norman Foster: The radical 88-year-old “starchitect” behind landmarks like London’s Gherkin, New York’s Hearst Tower and Cupertino’s Apple Park.
- London Breed: The 45th mayor of San Francisco, and the first African-American woman to hold the position.
- D’Wayne Wiggins: The record producer who discovered Beyoncé and helped artists like Destiny’s Child, Kehlani, and Zendaya become superstars.
- Robert Reich: America’s former Secretary of Labor who battled grade school bullies as a kid and fought for fair wages and paid family leave as an adult.
The trailer for Life in Seven Songs will premiere on June 4, 2024 with the first two episodes following on June 18, 2024. Listen wherever you get your podcasts.
