Pullman New Delhi Aerocity brings In Innovation with Design & Setup for New Age Large Format Events

New Delhi, September ‘2022: Elegant and contemporary, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity has been designed by renowned architect Meriem Hall from architecture and design firm ‘Woodhead’ based out of Singapore. The concept design of the hotel takes its inspiration from the majestic peacock, whose dance foretells the arrival of rain and is considered a symbol of divinity.

These spaces have been at the forefront of hosting large-scale events and gatherings especially post the pandemic, as this trend further picks up. In fact, this year onwards, expect a large section of corporates to plan in-person conferences even as the wedding season gains further momentum. This has required innovation in design and experience to meet the myriad requirements of different events.

The most recently held 9th Session of the Governing Body of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) at Pullman New Delhi Aerocity has now set a benchmark for international events in the country held in a large format. Inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, the 8 day event witnessed one of the largest pillarless convention centres in the country being transformed into a high-security area to hold 700+ delegates from 65 participating countries.

Celebrating the agriculture of India, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity also customize a unique menu with traditional grains like millet, foxtail millet, pearl millet and barley to create healthy & nutritious food options supporting our local farmers. The food was prepared with a vision of better health and giving an ode to the local vendors and local produce of India. The whole aspect has been inspired by the in-house herb garden at Pullman where the guests are served food made with fresh and local ingredients.

Pulling out all stops for the event, Pullman New Delhi Aerocity transformed all spaces to use as convention centre to accommodate the needs of the dignitaries. The 13 co-meeting rooms were customized with unique set ups for delegate meetings and discussions and were equipped with high end audio visual technology. Being one of the most stylish and upbeat spaces in Aerocity, Pullman installed and created the stalls from 55 countries which saw the installations of German air-conditioned Hangars which are widely used in large conferences and exhibitions. These stalls were set up in a larger than life outdoor space which allowed Pullman to showcase its creativity while allowing free movement.

Speaking about the event, Mr Vineet Mishra, Cluster General Manager says, “Being the only Pullman in India, we always ensure that we provide all services and amenities of International standard under one roof. We are quite elated to witness large scale events making their way back and happy to bring these to life at our convention centre, which is one of the largest pillar-less spaces in Delhi to accommodate 1500 people at once. Looking at the needs of the event, it was integral that Pullman provided an unbridled experience to each delegate based on their expectations and keeping in mind that we were helping represent India.”
