20th june 2025, Bengaluru, India / paris, france: Meeting at the Paris Air Show 2025, MBDA’s CEO, Eric Béranger, and AXISCADES’ Chairman, Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan have confirmed their intent to expand the on-going cooperation between both companies and expand it to new activities in line with MBDA’s long term strategy of “Make in India”.

Continuation of the existing cooperation:

AXISCADES Aerospace & Technologies Private Limited (AXISCADES) has undertaken built-to-spec and built-to-print assignments on Test Benches for MBDA. AXISCADES has delivered multiple generations of Test Solutions towards MBDA’s MICA Missiles and Missile Launchers. Besides, AXISCADES has also established facility and performing Depot Level Maintenance of Missile Launchers. For the past ten years, AXISCADES has been engaged with MBDA as prime Indian Offset Partner. MBDA will continue to rely on AXISCADES for the supply of these products and services, getting access to high quality / low-cost resources at a time when MBDA grows exponentially. Both companies expect that the volume of sourcing for these products and services will increase in the coming years.

Reinforcement of the partnership:

MBDA and AXISCADES have decided to expand their domains of cooperation. AXISCADES already provides high-end engineering services to several top Aerospace OEMs and is a supplier of the Indian Ministry of Defence. Both companies will examine how these skills can be put to use for the benefit of MBDA.

The activities to be conducted in partnership will contribute to the growth of MBDA’s industrial presence in India answering to the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” policy of self-reliance supported by the Indian Government.

Further to the meeting between Eric Béranger and Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan, working groups have been established to identify new areas of cooperation and their implementation.

Structuration of the partnership:

AXISCADES has already established the required infrastructure, tools, processes, resources and the industrial eco-system for MBDA.

Taking the relationship to the next level, AXISCADES will set up, at its new premises coming up at Aerospace Park near Bengaluru’s Kempe Gowda International Airport, a new facility dedicated to the work executed for MBDA. The premises will host a state-of-the-art Test Bench laboratory, Missile Launcher set-up, equipment, instruments, stores, and tools along with skilled/trained resources.

MBDA and AXISCADES will work towards structuring the partnership to guarantee long term benefits to both parties.
