Malaka Spice launches the The Veggie Table, a vibrant vegetarian menu to kickstart the festive season
Malaka Spice, is excited to announce the launch of another seasonal menu, especially for its vegan and vegetarian patrons. This new menu at Malaka Spice is crafted to celebrate the robust flavours of indigenous vegetables. Along with popular vegetarian options such as tofu and mushroom, guests can expect to experience local ingredients that are rarely used in restaurants such as Arbi (taro root), Karela (bitter gourd), Torai sponge gourd and much more. As always, Malaka Spice will be integrating these local ingredients in South East Asian recipes.
“At Malaka Spice we are always experimenting with new concepts and fresh ingredients, the idea behind creating this menu was to let vegetables take the centre stage, as they are often considered as side dishes or used to enhance the main ingredients which are mostly meats. Ever since we have set up Cherish Farms, most of the fruits and vegetables used at the restaurants are grown in-house and we wanted make the best of the diverse produce we receive each season”, shared Ilvika Chandawarkar who heads research and business development at Chiranjeev Restaurant and Foods Pvt Ltd (House of Malaka).
The Veggie Table is a well-researched menu, packs a punch of flavours and offers an immense variety to our vegetarian and vegan guests. Most of the dishes in the menu are also naturally vegan” added Rohan Mahabal, Executive at Chiranjeev Restaurant and Foods Pvt Ltd (House of Malaka).
Patrons can experience a burst of South East Asian flavours with the freshest organic produce from the Cherish Farms. The menu will feature an array of signature dishes such as Fried Bitter Gourd Salad, Tempura Eggplant Bao, Cherish Farm Special Vegetable Tempura, Silken Tofu with Avocado, Mix Gourd Kurma, Lemoni Yam with Sweet Potato, Fried Arbi on Rendang Paste and much more.
The Veggie Table is an ala carte menu and will be available at Koregaon Park and Kharadi (Pune). So, get ready to embark on an extraordinary culinary journey.
