Kirti Poonia, Fashion Circularity Champ

Her Circle Leads The Way With India’s First Carbon-Neutral Photo-Shoot

Her Circle brought in World Environment Day in its own inimitable style! A platform committed to proffering women a safe space to grow, question and develop their skills, Her Circle took a unique path to reiterate their commitment to ‘go minimal for maximum impact’ in their special Sustainability Edition. In a trailblazing endeavour, the team curated an environment-friendly photoshoot for their digital cover. India’s first carbon-neutral photo-shoot, featuring sustainability stalwarts, took into account location, make-up, lighting, costumes, production and other such factors in designing this initiative.

The attempt was the perfect fit, given it shone spotlight on individuals advocating the cause of sustainability including Kirti Poonia, who believes in the importance of circularity in fashion, and draws attention to the environmental impact of fast fashion, and how brands can opt for sustainability by repurposing and reusing fashion; Rameshwari Seth, vegan, a clean beauty entrepreneur, who lays importance on treating the environment with utmost care as one would while taking care of their own home; and Elsie Gabriel an award-winning environmentalist who believes that with the right information and education, future generation of planet saviors can be readied.

The complete lowdown of the eco-friendly shoot is up on YouTube and all Her Circle’s social media handles. The video is preceded by BTS clips that gives a peek into the way the shoot was designed, the considerations of the technical crew, and dovetails into the sustainability conversation that follows.
