Nashik, Jan 21: Group Legrand India today inaugurated its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Nashik, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s growth journey in India. Spread across over 30,000 square metres, the new plant is one of Legrand’s largest factories globally and its biggest in India, reinforcing the country’s strategic importance as a manufacturing and export hub for the Group.
The Nashik facility will manufacture Bus Bar trunking systems, distribution boards, racks, Cablofil cable trays, and industrial plugs and sockets, with a strong focus on solutions for the rapidly expanding data center market, a key strategic priority for Legrand worldwide. Designed to serve both domestic and international markets, exports of select products are already underway, with plans to expand global shipments across additional categories—positioning the plant as a Made in India, Made for the World supply hub. The expansion builds on Legrand India’s growing data center portfolio, strengthened through organic growth and recent strategic acquisitions such as NetRack, enabling integrated solutions across power distribution and digital infrastructure.
Legrand is committed to sustainability. Our manufacturing methods include going green with a green building certification from IGBC and the installation of a 1 MW solar energy system on the roof of the plant, and we follow zero liquid discharge policies. These practices demonstrate Legrand’s commitment to being a responsible manufacturer. We will utilize state-of-the-art technology combined with stringent quality control processes to produce products that meet or exceed global standards while contributing to the growth of our customers and the environment.
Speaking at the inauguration, Tony Berland, CEO & Managing Director, Group Legrand India, said, We are pleased to inaugurate the Nashik manufacturing facility, which represents an important milestone in Legrand India’s journey. This project reflects the dedication of our teams and partners, and our continued focus on building long-term capabilities in India. The Nashik facility stands as a testament to Legrand’s philosophy—combining manufacturing excellence, sustainable practices, and a forward-looking approach to meet the evolving needs of global markets.
