The survey gathered insights from a diverse pool of respondents across industries, highlighting key trends and perceptions regarding CSR initiatives.

According to the survey findings, a significant 73% of respondents indicated that their organizations have a structured CSR framework or a dedicated wing to oversee CSR activities, underlining the growing emphasis on social responsibility among businesses. Conversely, 16% of respondents stated their organizations currently do not have a formal CSR structure.

The survey also revealed that 66% of organizations have a dedicated CSR Committee with active involvement from the Board of Directors, illustrating a top-down approach towards CSR governance. On the other hand, 22% of respondents reported a lack of such formalized committee structures.

Transparency and accountability in CSR efforts were highlighted, with 78% of respondents indicating that their organizations publish a CSR Report annually to disclose spending on CSR initiatives. However, 17% of organizations do not currently publish such reports.

Furthermore, a resounding 89% of survey participants emphasized the importance of all organizations participating in CSR activities, emphasizing the collective responsibility of businesses towards society. However, 7% of respondents expressed a differing viewpoint.

The survey explored various types of CSR activities commonly undertaken by organizations, revealing that 38% contribute to Government-Initiated Funds, 15% focus on projects related to Education & Well-Being for the Underprivileged – including efforts to eradicate poverty and provide healthcare, 16% address Environmental Issues and promote Environmental Sustainability, 5% work on projects related to Village Development, Backward Societies, or National Heritage Protection, Disaster Management & Rehabilitation Projects, and 26% engage in a combination of all these activities.

Mr. R.P Yadav, Chairman and Managing Director at Genius Consultants Limited, said on the survey findings, stating, “The survey highlights the increasing recognition of CSR as a fundamental aspect of modern business strategy. One key aspect highlighted is that organizations are no longer treating CSR as an isolated activity but are integrating it deeply into their core operations. This integration represents a broader paradigm shift towards sustainable and purpose-driven business practices. Companies are increasingly aligning their values and missions with societal and environmental concerns, recognizing the interconnectedness between business success and positive impact on communities and the planet. In our organization, we have a separate wing for CSR – Genius Foundation, through which we try to cater to the well-being of the society as a whole.

The survey report by Genius Consultants Limited provides valuable insights into how organizations are not only acknowledging their social responsibilities but also integrating them into their core operations, reflecting a shift towards sustainable and purpose-driven business practices.
