EAM Jaishankar to Visit UAE for Bilateral Meetings, Boost in Relations Continue

New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar will be co-chairing the 14th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) and the 3rd India-UAE Strategic Dialogue with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. To attend these meetings, the EAM will be travelling to UAE from 31st August to 2nd September.

According to a recent press release by the MEA, these meetings will provide an opportunity to both the Ministers to review the entire spectrum of comprehensive strategic partnership between India and UAE and regional and global developments. During the visit EAM will also meet other UAE dignitaries.

The Ministry of External Affairs said that both India and UAE are committed to moving forward in their partnership in various fields including trade, investment, traditional and renewable energy, food security, health, skill development, education, culture, defence, space and consular issues. United Arab Emirates will invest USD 2 billion in India to develop a series of integrated agricultural parks across the country.

There have been regular high level interactions between India and UAE in 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited Abu Dhabi on June 28th this year and met the President of UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Earlier, the two leaders also held a virtual summit on 18th February, during which the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed and a vision statement was adopted. Additionally, regular high level talks are going on between the two countries, which will benefit citizens of both country.
