Celebrate Onam Sadya with Culinary Delight Zambar that brings an Authentic Taste of Kerala Straight to the heart of Delhi NCR

Onam, a festival celebrated with fervour and excitement in Kerala has now reached the northern regions of India. Indian festivals are incomplete without food, and the Onam Sadya is an elaborate feast that is known for its variety, textures and flavour profiles. Since you can’t fly down south, Zambar brings Kerala to you, on a banana leaf that too.

Embark on a gastronomical journey, as the restaurant serves up a variety of 26 vegetarian dishes this Onam! What’s on the menu? The dishes include Pappadam, Nendran Chips. Cucumber Kichadi, Inji Curry, Pickles, Avial, Beetroot Pachadi, Pal Payasam, Kootu Curry, Cabbage Thoran, Pineapple Pulissery, Parippu Curry, Rasam to name a few.

Onam is the auspicious rice festival of Kerala. It marks the return of the legendary and generous King Mahabali and is celebrated by decorating homes, drawing rangolis and preparing a grand feast called Onam Sadya. Preparations for Onam kickstart 10 days in advance and each day of this festival holds its own significance. Onam Sadya is served on the last or 10th day of Onam. Steeped in culture, Zambar decorates its restaurant with aromatic flowers (Pookalam) and Vilakku ( Lamps). The staff also dress up in Kerala’s traditional attire to impart an authentic experience for customers.

The tempting aroma and alluring presentation of food served on a banana leaf excite food lovers who are enthusiastic about discovering different cultures within the country.

Speaking about the Onam Sadya, Head Chef Vetrimurugan said, “Onam has become increasingly popular in metro cities. We have to prepare for the festival way in advance to ensure that we can celebrate the festival at Zambar over three days with our customers in the traditional manner”.

Prices for dine-in are INR 1099 + taxes and delivery or takeaway is INR 1199 + taxes. The restaurant is located at Ambience Mall, Gurugram and is operational from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
