Jan 16: Astrotalk is rapidly building scale beyond digital consultations, with its spiritual commerce arm, Astrotalk Store. Launched in November 2024, Astrotalk Store has already generated over ₹140 crore in revenue in 2025 and is currently operating at an annualised run rate of ₹200+ crore, underlining strong early momentum. What began as an extension of astrologer-led guidance has quickly evolved into a structured commerce platform catering to India’s growing demand for verified, authentic spiritual products.
Astrotalk Store was incubated internally with an initial capital allocation of ₹30 lakh, with a mandate to test whether a trust-led Ecommerce business could be built sustainably. Following strong repeat purchases and healthy average order values, Astrotalk scaled the business with a ₹40 crore follow on investment, which was deployed across inventory expansion, supply chain strengthening, technology, marketing, and category diversification. In 2025 alone, the platform processed over 1.6 million orders, reflecting strong early product–market fit.
Over several years, Astrotalk observed that a growing share of users consulting astrologers online were seeking verified physical products recommended during sessions. Scaling Astrotalk Store allows the company to meet this demand in a standardised and trusted manner, while remaining fully online and closely integrated with its core consultation business. Puneet Gupta, Founder, Astrotalk, said, “The spiritual and astrology-led products market in India has always been large, but extremely fragmented. Consumers were either buying from local vendors with no standardisation or from small online sellers where authenticity was questionable. We saw a clear opportunity to organise this market by combining astrologer-led guidance, genuine sourcing, and a trusted brand. Astrotalk Store was built to bring credibility, scale, and transparency to a category that badly needed it”
The company has set an ambitious target of ₹400 – 500 crore in annual recurring revenue in FY27 for its ecommerce vertical. The platform currently offers 300+ SKUs spanning rudrakshas, gemstones, bracelets, idols, and ritual essentials, with a significant pipeline of 500+ new launches planned by FY27. Upcoming additions will focus on daily use cases and repeat-purchase categories, reflecting a deliberate shift from one-time purchases to habitual consumption.
Daman Soni, Chief Business Officer, Astrotalk Store, said, “We are approaching this with a multi-year lens, targeting not just short-term revenue but meaningful scale and sustainability. There is a visible product-market fit since we currently operate with a 24% repeat rate. We will continue to lift average order value by expanding into multiple categories, and grow active buyers by FY30. Approximately 50% of our future sales are expected from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, reflecting strong adoption beyond metro markets.”
Astrotalk’s overall business continues to scale rapidly. In FY25, the company crossed ₹1,176 crore in revenue from operations, driven by sustained growth in platform engagement and monetisation. As Astrotalk enters its next phase, the Store is expected to play a pivotal role in building a diversified, resilient, and high-margin revenue mix, while organising one of India’s most culturally embedded but commercially under-structured categories.
