AI-powered startup Daakia, focused on digital sovereignty, secures seed funding of USD 5 lakhs

New Delhi, March 29th, 2024: In what shall bolster its effort to scale up operations in rural and inaccessible areas and expand the users base in metro and tier 1 cities, Daakia Private Limited, an innovative AIpowered technology startup, has announced successful completion of its seed funding round, raising USD Five Lakhs  (INR 4 cr) from a group of strategic investors.

The funding round was led by MD of Green Apple Enterprises Sasi Kumar Marasu, with participation from a few other angel investors. This significant investment will fuel Daakia‘s mission to provide citizen-centric services to make collaborations easier, effective and thus, achieve digital sovereignty.

Daakia Private Limited was founded on the belief that having a trusted communication platform is an essential aspect of our daily life and should not be complex. With the vast language barrier existing in India and globally, the platform aims to be intuitive and provide real time communication in user’s regional language, for which a patent is also granted to the startup. With this latest round of funding, the company is poised to scale its platform to serve businesses and individuals globally, and provide a cost-effective Indian made solution alternative to WhatsApp and Zoom.

Through Daakia, one can have a meaningful conversation with anybody in the world in about 109 languages. We are committed to the exhortation of the honourable Prime Minister to “Code for Atmanirbhar Bharat”, and truly believe in Vocal for Local and Go Global,” Kumar added.

Daakia‘s innovative approach to solving language barrier in the digital communications space has already garnered attention in the startup market. The company has been part of Google and MEITY’s (Ministry of Electronics & IT) Appscale Academy 2023 and is registered as MSME and as a Start Up with DPIIT.
