Visakhapatnam,o6th June, 2025: Adani Gangavaram Port, the deepest and one of the most modern ports in India has undertaken a vital community initiative to support the city of Visakhapatnam in preparing for the upcoming monsoon season.

This initiative comes at a crucial time where responding to early warnings from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), which forecast an early onset of monsoon with above-average rainfall, AGPL has deployed specialized teams and mechanized equipment to assist the Visakhapatnam Civil Authorities in clearing critical stormwater and flow drains.

Focusing on the high-density areas of Peddagantyada and Gajuwaka, AGPL teams have cleared over one kilometer of main drainage channels, significantly reducing the risk of urban flooding, water stagnation, and associated health hazards. This effort is aimed at ensuring that arterial roads and essential urban infrastructure remain operational, even during heavy rainfall.
