New Delhi, Dec 11: Art Magnum announces its upcoming exhibition featuring the works of noted Indian artists Vrindavan Solanki and K. Muralidharan. Following its successful showing at Bikaner House, the exhibition now continues at Art Magnum Gallery, New Delhi, and will be on view until 8 January 2026. The exhibition is curated by Mr Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya.

This exhibition brings together two artists who come from very different geographies and cultural contexts yet meet on a deeper plane of artistic reflection. Solanki’s art is known for its quiet grace and contemplative presence. His figures, often rendered in calm and minimal gestures, evoke inner emotion and an unspoken narrative. His visual language feels rooted in the soil of Gujarat and in the serenity of lived experience.

Curator Mr Jyotirmoy Bhattacharya shares,

“What connects these two artists is not style but sensibility. They draw from the same cultural memory even though their expressions are entirely different. Solanki seeks contemplation through silence. Muralidharan seeks expression through colour and myth. Yet both reflect the same civilisational continuity that lies at the heart of Indian thought.”

Muralidharan’s works, on the other hand, are vibrant, expressive and steeped in the cultural imagination of Tamil Nadu. His canvases draw upon mythology, folklore, philosophy and memory. Through his distinctive forms and colours, he creates an immersive world where ancient stories breathe with a sense of immediacy.

Vrindavan Solanki reflects on his work and says, 

“For me art is not about what is seen outside. It is about what is felt within. The figures I paint are not people in the physical sense. They are moments of thought and emotion. They belong to a world of stillness which I have carried with me since childhood.”

K. Muralidharan shares his relationship with mythology and memory, saying, 

“My paintings come from stories that have lived with us for generations. These stories are not old. They are alive. They shape how we imagine the world. When I paint, I feel I am entering a space where the divine, the human and the natural world speak to one another.”

Although their practices vary in expression, both artists reflect a continuing cultural pulse that has shaped India across centuries. Their works echo values and ideas that have travelled from the earliest philosophical traditions into the present moment. Together, they remind us that the past and the present are never separate. They coexist within us.

Mr Saurabh Singhvi of Art Magnum expresses his thoughts on the exhibition and says, 

“It is an honour to present the works of two masters whose artistic languages are so different yet beautifully complementary. Their art reminds us of the cultural depth that India continues to carry within. Bringing their works together allows viewers to experience two unique worlds that are enriched by the same timeless spirit.”
