LOHUM Plans 40,000 sq. ft. R&D Centre in Greater Noida for Energy Transition Tech

New Delhi, July 05, 2024: LOHUM, India’s largest producer of sustainable energy transition materials via battery recycling, low carbon material refining, and battery repurposing, is developing a dedicated R&D facility, the ‘Innovation Centre’ across 40,000 sq/ft in Greater Noida.

LOHUM has a multi-disciplinary approach to technology development. The company invests heavily in R&D, and 10% of the company’s strength and 5% of the annual budget is dedicated purely to research. The facility will undertake R&D across Materials Development, Chemical Process Development, Lithium-ion cell Lifecycle analysis & modeling, Second Life Battery & Electronics Development, Software & Data Science, and Commodities & Energy markets for future price predictions.

The LOHUM Innovation Centre will host 100+ full-time researchers, including PhDs and graduates from globally recognized institutions such as the University of California – Berkeley, Cornell University, IISc Bangalore, IIT Kanpur, IIT Bombay, IIT BHU, NCL Pune, ICT Bombay, Delhi Technology University, among others.

Innovation is the foundation of LOHUM, and LOHUM have surmounted innumerable gaps in clean technology through R&D. The Innovation Centre will accelerate their efforts to develop innovative solutions across the clean energy transition.
