Swami Sivananda, a 125-year-old yoga guru, known as the oldest and the happiest man at the age of 125 years is to visit Hyderabad in August

Hyderabad, June 22, 2022. Swami Sivananda, a 125-year-old yoga guru who was recently honoured with Padma Shri by the Government of India to visit Hyderabad in August. He will grace SportExpo and check out a special Yoga Pavillion, a first of its effort to popularise Yoga.

Swami Sivananda who is popularly known as the oldest and the happiest man at the age of 126 years will be in Hyderabad at the invitation of Hitex, the organisers of SportExpo. The 125-year-old Yoga Guru Swami Sivananda who lives on oil-free boiled diet for long life has many followers in Hyderabad. His simplest, disciplined, well-regulated ways of living with early morning Yoga has given him disease-free and tension-free longest life. He demonstrates his life as an exemplary lesson rather than preaching.

Yoga was never a part of the sports and fitness exhibitions so far. Looking at the growing popularity and public interest in this ancient science and art we have decided to have a special Yoga Pavillion at Sports Expo which will be held in August in Hyderabad

SportExpo India is jointly organized by HITEX and Hyderabad Runners

The Hitex team has travelled to invite him and Swami Sivananda accepted their invitation to be in Hyderabad.

He practices and preaches simple ways of living and eschews the consumption of expensive commodities like fruits and milk products. He also advocates practising yoga as it paves the spiritual path to establish a coherent consonance between body & mind and to embark on a perceptive journey to our inner self.
