Hyderabad, 1st July, 2025 — The Hyderabad Chapter of the Indian Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ISNT) has announced its new office bearers for the year 2025–26. City-based industrialist and entrepreneur Mr. Surya Prakash Gajjala has been elected as the Chairman of the Chapter. He formally assumed charge at a meeting held at Gurukul, NFC Campus, ECIL, over the weekend. He took over the charge from Chairman Dr Komal Kapoor C&MD NFC (Nuclear Fuel Complex).
Mr. Surya Prakash is the second Chairman to become from private industry and all his predecessors were from Government labs and Research centres.
Mr. Surya Prakash is the CEO of Archimedes Green Energy Pvt Ltd. Archimedes Green Energys produced the India’s first Rooftop Wind Turbine to produce Green Energy and same was exhibited across the country.
Gajjala Surya Prakash is the recipient of MSME National Award from the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt of India in the past.
Dr. Jaiteerth Raghavendra Joshi, DG, BrahMos & National President-Elect and Chairman & MD Midhani Dr Narayanamurthy were the chief guests at the function.
The newly elected team includes a distinguished panel of professionals from leading scientific and industrial institutions: Mr. Mohan, Chairman, Metsonic Engineers as Advisors; Dr. G.V. Shiva Rao (DRDL), Dr. K. Srinivas (ASL), Mr. M.N.V. Vishwanath (NFC, Retd.), Mr. Ravi (Midhani) as Vice Chairmen; Dr. M. Phani Surya Kiran (DMRL) as Secretary and Mr. Atul Khanna (Managing Director, Horizon) as treasurer.
In his acceptance address, Mr. Surya Prakash emphasized a bold and transformative vision:“ISNT must evolve from a society of specialists into a force of influence. Our strength lies not just in machines or methods—but in people.”
He unveiled a three-pronged strategy to energize the Hyderabad Chapter:
1. Establish Hyderabad as a Model Chapter for NDE 4.0
Mr. Surya Prakash proposed setting up an NDE 4.0 Innovation Hub in collaboration with local industries and startups.
“From AI-assisted inspections to predictive maintenance, let Hyderabad become the testbed for digital transformation in NDT,” he stated.
2. Strengthen Industry–Academia Collaboration
Recognizing the city’s academic excellence, he outlined plans to build strong partnerships with engineering colleges and R&D institutions to:
- Launch or expand student chapters
- Offer expert guest lectures
- Create internship pipelines
“We aim to shape not just the future of NDT, but also the professionals who will define it.”
3. Create a Community That Engages, Empowers & Elevates
He announced a monthly knowledge-sharing and mentorship series, fostering interaction between senior experts and young professionals.
“Let ISNT Hyderabad be a vibrant, inclusive professional home. Let it not just inspect defects — but shape directions.”
