India, July 22, 2025 – NRI Nivesh has officially launched its global series of NRI Tax Clinics, aimed at empowering the Non-Resident Indian (NRI) community with expert tax-related guidance tailored specifically for their needs. This initiative is part of the wider NRI Nivesh India Property Expo – a global outreach program designed to Engage , Empower , Enable NRIs through actionable education, interactive sessions, real estate investment opportunities, and trusted expert advice.
Following successful chapters in Abu Dhabi and Kenya in June, the third chapter of the series was successfully held in Singapore on 12th and 13th July 2025 at the Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, in collaboration with Mudra Tax Filing , Mr.Vikrant Kalia and BDS, CA Bharat D. Sarawgee.
There was enthusiastic participation from the local NRI community, with attendees taking full advantage of the one-on-one consultations and engaging knowledge sessions. These sessions addressed key tax and compliance concerns faced by NRIs, including:
- Tax filing under the Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA)
- TDS rules and tax implications on property sales in India
- Latest updates in Indian tax laws relevant to NRIs
- A special spotlight on GIFT City as a rising gateway for NRI investments
“Our vision with the NRI Nivesh Tax Clinic series is to create a trusted global platform for NRIs—where they can bring their concerns and receive expert guidance on Indian taxation, compliance, and emerging opportunities,” said Nishant Kohli, Founder of NRI Nivesh. “The incredibly positive response across Abu Dhabi, Nairobi, and now Singapore validates the need for such focused, in-person initiatives, and motivates us to continue expanding this mission.”
GIFT City Focus: What NRIs Want
As part of its broader mission, NRI Nivesh is currently conducting a pan-NRI survey to gauge interest and sentiment around investment opportunities in GIFT City—covering both real estate and capital market products. The survey is expected to offer valuable insights into what NRIs are truly looking for, and will serve as a directional tool for financial institutions based in GIFT City to align with real NRI expectations and concerns.
What’s Next
With the Singapore edition wrapped up successfully, NRI Nivesh is preparing to bring its Tax Clinic series to additional global destinations in the coming months including Malaysia, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Germany, and the Netherlands—reaching thousands more in the global NRI community.
