Mumbai/ Thane 19 June 2023: Korum Mall, Thane’s premier shopping and entertainment destination, was also the destination for the 15K Monsoon Marathon today. The event, aimed at promoting fitness and community engagement, witnessed humongous participation from runners of all ages and fitness levels. The event offered multiple categories, including a 5K and 10K, and 15K run.The Monsoon Marathon kicked off early in the morning, as participants gathered at the starting point at Korum Mall. The mall also fostered connections with previous record holders in order to leverage their experience and expertise to push boundaries and set new benchmarks for the new runners. There were functional training sessions conducted by industry experts like Heena Bhanushali and Vivek Soni offering a holistic approach to fitness, focusing on overall strength, agility, and endurance.
The marathon route took the participants through the scenic locations of Thane, offering a beautiful backdrop of lush greenery and the refreshing touch of the monsoon rains. Along the route, runners were cheered on by enthusiastic volunteers and spectators, further fuelling their determination to reach the finish line. Water stations and medical aid were strategically placed along the course to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants. After completing the marathon, participants were greeted with a lively post-race celebration at Korum Mall. The event featured live music, engaging activities, and a range of delicious and nutritious refreshments for the runners to refuel and recharge. To commemorate their achievement, all participants received a finisher medal and a participation certificate.
