Dr. Supriya Awasthi, Organising Chairperson of the event from the School of Allied Health Sciences said, “We are glad to have organised a successful awareness camp which focused on educating students on screening public including women and children on malnutrition, public health issues, and vaccinations. Undernourishment, anemia, and issues in accessing healthcare facilities are still some of the biggest problems that the village is facing today, and such free health awareness sessions help in educating children, women, and elderly to prevent the same.”

Faculty members — Ms. Kumari Akanksha, Assistant Professor, Department of Public Health, School of Allied Health Sciences, and Dr. Azra Khan, Assistant Professor, from the same department accompanied the students from SOAHS. The participating students attended awareness sessions in general on healthcare delivery systems in rural areas, public-private partnerships in healthcare, safe drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) and consumption of healthy foods rich in proteins, carbohydrates, and other essential vitamins and minerals.
Noida International University keeps on organising such camps where students are educated on health awareness, common public health issues and conduct community level health screening camps. These activities can help prevent common health issues in the people at an early stage.
