New Delhi, 04.07.2024: Career Launcher, a leading education service provider, has launched an ‘Aptitude Olympiad’ for class 8-12 students, aimed at promoting academic and intellectual growth beyond the school curriculum. The Olympiad benchmarks performance nationally, offering insights into students’ potential and aiding in informed academic decisions, with rewards including cash prizes and trophies. It is aimed at fostering critical thinking and problem-solving prowess through academic competition. The event is being conducted from June to October 2024 in both offline and online modes.
The subjects for assessment of a student’s aptitude include Problem-Solving, Logical Reasoning, and Verbal Ability. The registration fee for this olympiad has been kept as Rs 150. Awards and Prizes include State Prize, National Prize, Benchmarking and Certificates and Scholarships.
As far as the timeline is concerned, the Prelims are being held in schools or online between June to August and the Finals will be held in Delhi in October 2024. Registration is available at both individual and school levels. Commenting on the CLAO (Career Launcher Aptitude Olympiad), Ms. Sujatha Kshirsagar, President Career Launcher said, “What makes CLAO unique are certain elements like Personalized Test Report, Recognition and Rewards, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving. Apart from that, the pre-recorded 24-session Aptitude Course is an integral component of the CLAO, designed to significantly enhance the participants’ skills in problem-solving, logical reasoning, and verbal ability. We have three versions of the program tailored to cater to the different needs of students. We are sure this Olympiad will challenge participants abilities to apply analytical skills in a stimulating environment ”. This is the second edition of the CL Olympiad. About 32000 students attended the first edition that happened in 2023-24. Students from small towns like Meerut, Bathinda were among the top rankers apart from students from Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar who also secured top positions.
The National Prize for Rank 1 is Rs. 1,00,000 along with a Gold Medal and National Aptitude Excellence Certificate. The State Prize for Rank 1 is Rs. 10,000 along with a State Gold Medal and a State Aptitude Excellence Certificate Apart from that, the participants will have a chance to get recognized with national-level benchmarking and certificates, alongside winning scholarships for various programs offered by Career Launcher.
The education platform offers coaching for many sought-after exams like CUET (Common University Entrance Test), Law entrance, and IPM (Integrated Program in Management). CUET – UG is a national-level entrance test, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions to undergraduate courses in various central, state, private, and many other universities in India. For Law, CL offers popular courses for top law entrance exams in the country like CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) and AILET (All India Law Entrance Test). The IPM (Integrated Program in Management) offered by IIM Indore, Rohtak, Bodh Gaya, Ranchi, and Jammu allows interested candidates to complete their BBA and MBA Courses together. The list of IIMs in this category is expected to grow rapidly.
