“Woven Spaces” exhibition at Fenaa Alawwal conveys artistic notions about heritage, culture and traditions
Riyadh, 14 April 2023: The Saudi Ministry of Culture’s Fenaa Alawwal (FAA) has today launched its latest art exhibition “Woven Spaces”, showcasing artwork by ten contemporary Saudi and international artists. Featuring art installations that use a mixed media approach, the exhibition conveys the artists’ personal stories through art pieces that illustrate each artist’s thoughts and experiences.
The exhibition presents a contemporary approach to artistic expression that considers history, tradition, culture, and memory through the lenses of the artists. It has been creatively curated, providing a unique experience where visitors will be taken on a journey to explore the hidden dimensions of each piece.
By engaging both Saudi and international creatives, “Woven Spaces” is encouraging cross-cultural exchange and dialogue. The exhibition will run until July 31, 2023, and is open to the public. During the holy month of Ramadan, the exhibition is open from 8 pm to 1 am, and after Eid Al-Fitr, from 10 am to 10 pm.
The Ministry of Culture first inaugurated Fenaa Alawwal in December 2022. Located in Riyadh’s Diplomatic Quarter, Fenaa Alawwal is a multidisciplinary cultural center that brings together a diverse community of thinkers, artists, and innovators. The Center offers a wide variety of cultural programming ranging from art exhibitions to discussion panels and workshops.
