Sustainability Goal: Grow-Trees.com Pledges 3 Million Trees to Enhance India’s Green Cover in 2025

Grow-Trees.com Commits to Planting 3 Million Trees for a Greener, Healthier India in 2025Announcing its plans for a special tree plantation initiative, ‘Ratan Tata Memorial Forest,’ where people can write their tribute to Late Ratan Tata or plant trees in his memory, which will create a vast green cover in the Indian Himalayan region with nearly four lakh trees, social enterprise Grow-Trees.com is kicking off 2025 with a powerful pledge. They will be planting more trees across various areas of the country, which includes more projects focusing on urban centers as well as areas with rare and diverse biodiversity.

“As we celebrate new beginnings, we must also take into account the alarming deterioration in air quality across major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Across the world, trees play an important role in absorbing global emissions, and toxic gases and filtering particulates. This is why our mission this year is to plant 3 million trees which will serve as carbon sinks, purify the air, mitigate the greenhouse effect by trapping heat and reduce the ground-level ozone. We envision a ‘pollution-free future’ and are actively working to achieve this goal with initiatives tailored for areas affected by heavy pollution,” says Mr Pradip Shah, co-founder of Grow-Trees.com.

A key initiative in this direction will be the Ratan Tata Memorial Forest, a year-long plan running until December 28, 2025, the birth anniversary of the late industrialist and philanthropist. As part of Grow-Trees.com’s ‘Trees+ for the Himalayas’ initiative, four lakh trees will be planted across 17 villages in Nainital and six villages in Almora, Uttarakhand, wherein citizens can write a tribute as well as plant a tree to help create the forest.

Grow-Trees.com has already launched several impactful initiatives, including Trees for Ram Bhoomi, Trees+ for Coastal Ecosystems, Trees for Cities, and Trees for Delhi. These projects address the diverse ecological needs of each region.

“Our mission for 2025 articulates our commitment to reverse the damage caused by pollution and urbanization. We invite everyone—individuals, corporates, and institutions—to join this journey of hope and healing. Together, we can turn the tide on pollution and pave the way for a cleaner, greener future,” adds Mr Shah.

The ‘Greet with Trees’ initiative by Grow-Trees.com will help individuals, groups, and corporate entities to be a part of this shared responsibility by gifting trees on various occasions. They can write a tribute and/or dedicate trees to the ‘Ratan Tata Memorial Forest’ or other projects, where they can greet their friends, family, employees, and customers with customizable eTreeCertificate®
