“2025 marked a step-change for India’s drone and defence industry, as indigenous manufacturing moved closer to scale and commercial viability. Policy support, rising defence demand, and growing private-sector participation helped shift drones from pilot programs to repeat deployment. This translated into improved confidence across the value chain, from manufacturing to investment.

For SPH, the year was largely about execution—delivering drones for operational requirements and building the processes needed to meet defence timelines and quality expectations. Looking ahead, 2026 is expected to focus on consolidation and growth. For the broader industry, this means higher manufacturing volumes, deeper R&D, and early export momentum. For SPH, the emphasis will be on expanding its product portfolio, strengthening next-generation and counter-drone capabilities, and contributing to a wider ecosystem that supports skilled employment and long-term domestic capability.”
