Shilpa Shinde is delighting audiences once again with her iconic portrayal of OG Angoori Bhabi in &TV’s much-loved comedy show Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0. As the lively neighbourhood of Kanpur bursts back into action with quirky misunderstandings, playful banter, and laugh-out-loud chaos, Angoori remains at the heart of the show’s charm. Effortlessly blending innocence with impeccable comic timing, Shilpa brings warmth, nostalgia, and a refreshing spark once again to her character that became a household favourite. Opening up about stepping back into Angoori’s world, reconnecting with co-stars, and embracing a brand-new chapter of laughter, Shilpa shares why playing Angoori again feels both emotional and exciting.
1. How has it been stepping back into Angoori’s world? Has your approach to the character changed?
Angoori’s core innocence and simplicity remain the same, and that is what makes her so lovable. But as an actor, I have grown, and that naturally reflects in my performance. Earlier, everything was very new and spontaneous. Now, I understand her rhythm even better. I know her pauses, her expressions, and her little quirks. At the same time, I am careful not to make her predictable. The idea is to retain the nostalgia while keeping her fresh and relevant for today’s audience.
2. The audience has always adored you as Angoori. How has the response been this time around?
The response has honestly been overwhelming and emotional. I have received so many messages saying, “the OG Angoori Bhabhi is back!” That kind of love is rare. It shows how deeply the character connected with families across the country. People still remember the dialogues, the mannerisms, and even the smallest expressions. Knowing that the audience waited and welcomed me back with open arms is very heartwarming.
3. Reuniting with the team must bring back memories. How is the bond with your co-stars now?
There is a beautiful comfort that comes with familiarity. Working again with the team feels effortless because we already understand each other’s timing and energy. Comedy works best when there is trust between actors, and that bond is still intact. Off-screen too, there is a lot of laughter and nostalgia. We often talk about old scenes and moments that became iconic. At the same time, we are all excited to create new memories together.
4. What can viewers expect from the upcoming tracks? Is it going to be a fun ride?
Oh, absolutely! The upcoming episodes are packed with hilarious misunderstandings, unexpected twists, and classic Angoori-style innocence that lands everyone in trouble. There are situations where things spiral out of control in the funniest way possible, and the chemistry between all the characters adds to the chaos. We are exploring fresh storylines while keeping the flavour that audiences love. It is definitely going to be a complete fun ride filled with laughter, surprises, and heartwarming moments.
5. What do you think makes Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0 stand out in today’s entertainment space?
In a time when content is constantly evolving, simple, clean comedy that brings families together is very special. The show has always been rooted in relatable humour, quirky misunderstandings, and strong character dynamics. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0 keeps that essence alive while adding fresh twists. It is light-hearted, nostalgic, and comforting something viewers can unwind with after a long day.
