Sara Ali Khan recently opened up managing money and aspiring to buy luxury goods. Speaking at the Times Now Summit 2025, co-presented by Dream Sports and powered by Pernod Ricard India, she said, ” I’m frugal and I am aware and mindful about where I spend my money. I don’t enjoy spending frivolously, but splurging a little bit… why not? I love traveling, so I save money for that. Mujhe showsha for the sake of showsha nahi chahiye. Luxury goods bought just for the sake of it don’t appeal to me, but luxury with utility makes sense. I don’t have a Hermès bag; my mom has, and I borrow it. I aspire to buy a Chanel bag one day. But if you are comfortable in Zara, that’s great too! I don’t judge people; if you can afford it, why not?”

Talking about her finances, Sara revealed something surprising: “I have learned pie – chhoti chhoti cheezein alag alag jagahon pe invest karni chahiye. My mom handles my money entirely. Even my GPay account is linked to her, and my OTPs come on her phone. I have to call her for approvals. I invest in real estate, the stock market, gold—the usual.”
