Aurangabad, September 2022: Safexpress, India’s largest supply chain & logistics company has launched its 2 new ultra-modern Logistics Parks in Maharashtra; one in Nagpur and another in Ranjangaon MIDC in Pune. These occasions were graced by senior executives of Safexpress.

Maharashtra is the third-largest state by area and is one of the most industrialised states in India. The state has played a significant role in the country’s social and political life and is widely considered a leader in terms of agricultural and industrial production, trade and transport, and education. The six important industries in the state are cotton textiles, chemicals, machinery, electricals, transport, and metallurgy.

Safexpress Logistics facilities in Maharashtra has a combined land area of 5.25 Lakh square feet, enabled with ultra-modern transshipment and 3PL facilities, which will boost storage & warehousing needs of this region while providing for faster connectivity. The new Logistics Parks are cross-dock, have a column-less span of over 80 feet to facilitate simultaneous loading and unloading of multiple vehicles and unhindered movement of goods within the facility. To enable all-weather loading & unloading of goods, the facility is equipped with 16 feet wide Cantilever Shed.

The Logistics facilities have the required firefighting equipment and trained manpower to deal with such emergencies. These are equipped with an integrated rainwater harvesting system, have a dedicated green zone and will be using sunlight during the daytime to conserve energy. Operations at the Logistics facility is highly streamlined, which ensures the country’s fastest transit-time from Maharashtra to all destinations across India. The physical infrastructure will be backed by a robust IT infrastructure and a very efficient warehouse management system. This facility is a perfect mix of nature-friendly initiatives and technology.
