Speaking about the Digital Financial Literacy Training, Mr. Jiji Mammen, ED & CEO Sa-Dhan said “The last couple of years have seen a rapid push in attaining financial inclusion in India driven primarily through incremental technology change. There has been a massive push from the government in the form of the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) and a host of related policy decisions. Significant efforts have also been taken together with the private sector in terms of improving data and network connectivity across rural India, mobile wallets, Unified Payment Systems (UPI) and a number of technological innovations in the financial inclusion space. While the rise of digital financial systems has the potential to further the trajectory of inclusive finance, a key driver in achieving the said objectives is the acceptance and usage by the clients of the various financial institutions that offer these products and services. To further financial inclusion, there is a need to strengthen the entire ecosystem within which last mile agents, clients and MFIs interact with technology and these trainings will empower people to make adopt technology with ease and bring all under the ambit of digital banking.”
