
Hyderabad, Jan 05th: Resonance Educational Institutions, Hyderabad, successfully conducted a Felicitation Ceremony to honour its student Padakanti Viswanath Karthikey, recipient of the prestigious Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar, conferred by the Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, in recognition of his exceptional national-level achievement and being the youngest Indian to complete the Seven Summits Challenge. The 17-year-old Vishwanath Karthikey is an MPC Second Year student of Resonance Suchitra Campus. The ceremony was held at Resonance College, Suchitra Campus, Hyderabad, today.
On the occasion, Mr. Purna Chandra Rao, Managing Director, Resonance Educational Institutions; felicitated Viswanath Karthikey and presented him with a ₹3,00,000 cheque as a special recognition award in appreciation of his achievement and contribution. Principals of various Resonance campuses, faculty members, and staff actively participated in the event and expressed their pride in the student’s remarkable accomplishment.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Purna Chandra Rao, Managing Director, said, “Viswanath Karthikey’s Bal Puraskar is a matter of immense pride for the entire Resonance family. This felicitation motivates me to work harder and continue contributing positively in the future.”
Viswanath Karthikey referring to his interaction with the Hon’ble President and the Hon’ble Prime Minister on the occasion, he recalled his response to the question, “What message do you have for the youth of India?” my response was, “Create your own Everest and strive to scale it, set clear goals, and pursue them with unwavering consistency and discipline.”
Viswanath’s parent(s) shared, “We are extremely grateful to Resonance Educational Institutions for guiding and supporting our child throughout this journey. This honour is a proud moment for our family, and we thank the management and faculty for their encouragement and values-driven mentorship.”
A close friend and classmate of Viswanath, said, “Viswanath has always been focused, humble, and hardworking. We are all proud to see him achieve this honour. His journey inspires all of us to dream bigger and stay committed to our goals.”

In his most recent expedition, he embarked on an arduous journey up Mt. Everest and reached the summit at 16 years, 6 months, and 27 days on 27th May, becoming the youngest Indian and the world’s second youngest mountaineer to complete the Seven Summits Challenge.
