myAvtar.com draws over 1000 participants, holds over 250 jobs in a day

NATIONAL, July 2021: myAvtar.com – India’s leading diversity job portal part of the Avtar Group, successfully held the third edition of its virtual job fair for women on July 2, 2022. More than 1000 candidates took part in the mega event themed #EnergizeYourCareer and out of this over 100 of them were shortlisted for the next round of interviews at the participating organizations.

This year more than 12 companies, including Ather Energy, Amazon, M2P Fintech, Mastercard Incorporated, Synchrony, Titan Company, Vestas Wind Technology India Private Limited, AstraZeneca India Private Limited, CRISIL, Bluestar Limited, Ford Business Solutions, and ICICI Lombard GIC Ltd. participated at the fair offering more than 250 jobs across domains like banking, technology, finance, digital marketing, and manufacturing for women talent at different career stages – freshers, entry-level, mid-level, and seniors.

“The success of job fairs of such magnitude is based on candidates’ experience on finding job opportunities and employers’ experience on finding the suitable talent. The job fair in the last three editions has seen over 6000 registrations, 50+ companies invested in gender Diversity with more than 1000 jobs, 1000+ spot interviews, 500+ shortlists. The myAvtar Job Fair for Women witnesses a beautiful amalgamation of the diverse talent pool and organizations invested in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). This is a positive upward trend towards increasing women’s workforce participation in the country”, said Dr Saundarya Rajesh, Founder – President, Avtar Group said addressing the audience at the job fair.

The applicants were from across metros like Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, apart from a few non-metros. Interestingly, more than 50% of the registrations from the non-metro cities. And more than 70% of the registrants were of those in the 0-8 years of experience career stage.

“At Ather, while we haven’t neglected the need for and the importance of diversity and inclusion, but we didn’t hold the picture very closely. We’re now beginning to learn what diversity, equity, and inclusion looks like for us because that’s our true north. While a diverse team and an inclusive workspace is an obvious business requirement, the possibilities that each step opens are many. Even as we hire more diverse team members, we also hold the responsibility to build systems that allow them to be themselves, and not have to fit into a mould,” said Sunitha Lal, CHRO, Ather Energy at the event talking about the company’s DEI initiatives.

The Job fair also hosted insightful panel discussions with business heads including Sripriya GN, Head of Product, Software, Ather Energy; Anuradha Kumar, Associate Director HR, AstraZeneca India Private Limited; Bharat Srinivasaranga, Senior Vice President – Products, M2P Fintech; Priya M Pillai, Head – HR (Retail, Corporate & Manufacturing), Titan Company Limited; Rakshitha Rai, Chief Fun Officer, Ford Business Solutions; Meera Narayanan, Director Talent Acquisition – APAC & MENA at Amazon; Anshumala Srivastava, Regional HR Business Partner, Vestas Wind Technology India; Sangeeta Parameswaran, Deputy General Manager – Human Resources, Bluestar Limited among others.
