New Delhi, 20th December 2024: Finnair adds flights to popular destinations in Lapland for Easter weeks in April and during the peak autumn foliage season from August to October. Frequencies are also added for popular events next summer.
In the run-up to Easter, flights are added to Kuusamo and Rovaniemi, where the end of the ski season is at its best in April. For the ones who love the autumn nature, Finnair adds flights to Kuusamo, Kittilä and Ivalo during the weeks of the most beautiful autumn foliage.*
Finnair also takes into account summer events that are growing in popularity and adds additional return flights to the following events: the trail running event NUTS Karhunkierros in Ruka in May, the Solstice festival in Ruka in June, the World Orienteering Championships in Kuopio in July and Kuninkuusravit, Finland’s largest harness racing event, in Oulu in August.
“Lapland’s unique nature that changes according to season and the adventures it offers attracts a growing number of travelers, and we see an increase in demand on both sides of the winter season. The additional frequencies ensure smooth connections for our customers during high seasons and specific events and support our goal of increasing year-round travel to Lapland and Northern Finland,” says Perttu Jolma, Finnair’s Vice President, Network Management.
