India Leads the Way in Food Innovation at IndusFood Manufacturing and Agri-Tech 2025
New Delhi, January 9, 2025: IndusFood Manufacturing and IndusFood Agri-Tech 2025, one of the largest exhibitions of the food and beverage (F&B) industry, inaugurated today at India International Convention Centre (IICC – Yashobhoomi), Dwarka, New Delhi, has firmly established India on the global food innovation map. The event is jointly organized by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) and India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML), reflecting a robust partnership that leverages expertise, innovation, and global outreach.
Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Chairman of IEML, played a pivotal role in positioning the event as a beacon of global excellence and cooperation. His strategic vision and leadership have enabled IEML to diversify beyond its base in Greater Noida, hosting events at premier venues like IICC-Yashobhoomi, underlining IEML’s commitment to reaching newer audiences and expanding its impact across India.
In his address, Dr. Kumar highlighted the extensive efforts by IEML and TPCI, including nationwide roadshows and collaboration with state-level District Industries Centres (DICs) across Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, among others. This ground-level outreach was matched by international efforts to enroll buyers and hosted visitors from regions as diverse as Africa, the Americas, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. “We aim to make IndusFood Manufacturing and Agri-Tech a global hub for innovation, partnerships, and technological advancements,” Dr. Kumar emphasized.
Shri Jitin Prasada, Hon’ble Minister of State for Commerce & Industry and Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India, inaugurated the event, lauding it as a unique platform showcasing India’s prowess in the food processing value chain. He emphasized that the Government of India’s initiatives have created a strong ecosystem, combining modern infrastructure, cutting-edge technology, and progressive agricultural practices. “The Indian food industry is a bridge between agriculture and industry, setting global benchmarks for sustainability and innovation,” he remarked.
This year’s edition has attracted over 300 exhibitors and is spread across 27,000 square meters of exhibition space. With delegations from countries like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Egypt, and the USA, and participation from 500+ hosted international buyers, the event showcases cutting-edge food technology, sustainable packaging, and innovative ingredients, embodying India’s position as a global leader in F&B innovation.
Shri Mohit Singla, Chairman of TPCI, highlighted the strong support from the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture, and Department of Animal Husbandry, which has elevated the event to international standards. Shri Vijay Kumar Gauba, ADG of TPCI, expressed gratitude to the exhibitors and international delegates, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in fostering industry growth.
