
Eco Hotels and Resorts Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Biplab Banerjee as Corporate General Manager – Operations and Business Development, and Executive Assistant to the Chairman, as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen organizational leadership and support its next phase of growth.
In his role, Mr. Banerjee will oversee pan-India operational performance, tactical business development initiatives, pre-opening and expansion projects, while also working closely with the Executive Chairman on corporate strategy, governance, and execution priorities. His appointment is expected to enhance operational consistency, profitability, and scalability across Eco Hotels’ expanding portfolio.
Mr. Banerjee brings over two decades of experience in hospitality leadership, with deep expertise in cluster and resort management, constructive planning, operational optimization, financial performance, and guest experience management. Prior to joining Eco Hotels, he held multiple senior leadership roles at Mahindra Holidays and Resorts India Limited, where he served as Cluster Manager for Gujarat and Maharashtra, and as General Manager across key leisure destinations including Puducherry, Virajpet, and Kumbhalgarh.
Over the course of his career, Mr. Banerjee has led multi-property portfolios, driven SOP-led operational excellence, and delivered award-winning performance across guest satisfaction, food and beverage revenue, and resort profitability. His leadership has been recognized through several industry and tourism awards, including ‘RCI Gold Crown Awards,’ ‘Gujarat Tourism Awards,’ and ‘Indian Icon Awards.’

Mr. Banerjee holds a Diploma in Hotel Management and a Post Graduate Diploma in Operations Management, along with certifications in Total Quality Management, hospitality administration, finance, and leadership development. With his onboarding, Eco Hotels continues to consolidate its leadership team to support sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation across its hospitality portfolio.
