Pune: Taking its commitment to the motto ‘Bringing Life to Work’ a notch higher, Cybage, the leading global IT services provider, has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Pune Metro. A big leap to support a future focused on environmental responsibility and employee wellbeing.
Since its launch two weeks ago, the Pune Metro route has simplified commute for thousands of Punekars including Cybage employees. This collaboration offers convenient access to Pune’s East-West corridor, encompassing all 16 stations, significantly reducing commute time for a large portion of its workforce.
The environmental impact is undeniable as Cybage has noticed a significant drop in vehicular usage among employees, as many of them have embraced the metro. This has led to a substantial decrease in the number of cars on the roads each week, contributing to a significant reduction in Cybage’s carbon footprint, with anticipated monthly savings in CO2 emissions.
“At Cybage, we believe that our success is intricately linked to the well-being of our employees. This partnership with Pune Metro exemplifies our commitment to employee safety and prioritizing sustainability. We hope to set a new benchmark for responsible business practices within the Pune IT industry,” said Arun Nathani, CEO & MD, Cybage.
Recognizing the mental and physical strain associated with traditional travel to and from work, Cybage is also addressing the last-mile connectivity challenge. The company has introduced dedicated shuttle services and plans to significantly expand this service in the near future. This comprehensive approach has laid the groundwork for a hassle-free commute, minimizing stress, fatigue, and even the risk of mishaps.
This partnership between Cybage and Pune Metro presents a unique opportunity for the IT industry; Cybage is setting a new standard for sustainable business practices. The innovative move has the potential to inspire the Pune IT sector to explore similar initiatives, enabling a more environmentally-conscious and employee-centric industry ecosystem. Furthermore, the seamless integration of the Metro system with Cybage’s employee lives holds exciting possibilities, promising more efficient and dynamic work environments.
