Bright Young Minds Engage in Chess Tournament at KORUM MallThane, December 05th, 2023: KORUM Mall is delighted to announce that its recent chess tournament was a resounding success, with approximately 300 participants from across Mumbai and Thane coming together to engage in competitive matches. The tournament witnessed a diverse range of players spanning from novice enthusiasts to seasoned professionals showcasing their skills and passion for the game.

The tournament was designed under the aegis of Thane District Chess Association (TDCA) for participants aged below 15. To ensure a well-organized and engaging experience for all, the event was seamlessly conducted in age-group category.

The event featured thrilling and highly competitive matches where participants showcased exceptional strategy, mental prowess, and sportsmanship. Comprising multiple rounds, the competition saw players face off in intense one-on-one matches to determine the ultimate champion. Each round’s climax was captivating, as the final two players engaged in a gripping game that had viewers on the edge of their seats.

Young talents such as Darsh Raut (under 7), Kashvi Rahul Bandal (under 8), Ishaan Bhala (under 9), Shivansh Pranav (under 10), Deepak Bhagtani (under 11), Mahati Ramkumar (under 12), Ronit Motwani (under 13), and Ronit Motwani (under 15) clinched trophies. These accomplished individuals emerged victorious among the 300 participants who contested the competition.

Mr. Deva Jyotula, VP-Retail, remarked, “KORUM has always been the edutainment epicentre of Thane and hence we frequently conduct large-scale events like chess, rubik’s cube and summer bootcamp which are not only fun, but also contribute to the overall development of the child.  Participants and their kin express their love for the venue since it is one of the largest air-conditioned atriums in Thane. We have made every effort to ensure that this tournament was managed easily and fairly with the assistance of experienced arbitrators. We would like to thank TDCA and the participants in making this mega event a spectacle. We will continue to support such initiatives in the coming years as well as maintain the ardour for this game.”
