Mumbai, May 20,2025: Bharti AXA Life Insurance has announced the launch of its all-new flagship apprenticeship program, BIMA BHARTI, under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS), an initiative by the Government of India introduced in the Union Budget 2025. This nationwide program aims to create valuable skill-development opportunities for undergraduates and graduates, providing them with the necessary training for building a bright future in the insurance sector. The company aims at making the nation`s youth more employable and thereby contributing to the growth of the country.
Under this program, Bharti AXA Life Insurance has already onboarded 200 apprentices and will hire an additional 600 apprentices making a total of 800 apprentices from all over the country and has a special focus to hire women. This program will help narrow the gender gap and prepare younger talent for a sustainable career in the insurance industry. Apprentices will be given opportunities in diversified roles like marketing, business development, customer service, recruitment, etc.
Commenting on the launch, Ms. Dhanashree Thakkar, Head-Human Resources and Distribution Training, Bharti AXA Life Insurance, said, “By aligning with the government’s apprenticeship schemes, we aim to empower the youth, foster career growth, and build a future-ready workforce that will drive excellence in our services. Our tailor-made onboarding and mentoring programmes will equip young talent for impactful roles.”
With the launch of BIMA BHARTI, Bharti AXA Life aims to meaningfully contribute to the Government of India`s vision of youth empowerment and skill development. The apprentices will also be eligible for performance-based incentives, providing an opportunity to enhance their overall earnings during the program. Bharti AXA Life will serve as an invaluable platform for apprentices for building their career as it is a Great Place To Work certified organization, ranked Top 25 in the BFSI sector.
The duration of the apprenticeship is 6 months. Apprentices will receive certification from the Government of India upon successful completion, which is recognized across employment exchanges in the country.
